Joe Rogan Calls Skye Williams Funny
22With upwards of 1M viewers per episode, the Joe Rogan Experience is one of the most popular podcasts in America. Having interviewed everyone from astrophysicist Neil Degrasse Tyson, to smoking cannabis with Tesla founder Elon Musk, Joe Rogan's podcast has been nothing short of exciting for his 7.8M Youtube subscribers (not to mention the old-school, audio-only listeners). The JRE tends to touch on a variety of subjects, and it's no secret that when athletes step into his studio, Rogan brings in a lot of viewers.
However, there's always going to be a few people you can cross-off the list of potential guests. Not to say that any of these athletes wouldn't have a few interesting stories to share, but don't hold your breath on seeing some of these names on the JRExperience anytime soon.
16 Needs - John McEnroe
John McEnroe had a legendary tennis career (156-titles combined), but the guy known as 'Superbrat' got his nickname (and massive media attention) from his colourful outbursts and in-match arguments with officials. Beside's the opportunity to have one of the great tennis player's of all-time on his show, Joe Rogan could probably squeeze a few of those heated stories out of him.
15 Doesn't Want - Fallon Fox
Fallon Fox made headlines in a 2013 Sports Illustrated interview when she came out as the first trans athlete in the entire history of MMA. Many UFC commentators, including Joe Rogan, had a less than warm reaction to the news that Fox wanted to compete in the Women's division based on what some called, "bone density" issues. Many people came to Fox's defense however, with Out Sports naming her "The bravest athlete in history."
14 Needs - Naomi Osaka
The current tennis star who has reached the WTA #1-ranking (the first Japanese female ever, BTW), Naomi Osaka has taken the sport by storm -- even drawing praise from the GOAT, Serena. The crazy part is, this breakout star is only 22-years old. If she's not making herself into a household name already, she certainly will be in the near future.
13 Doesn't Want - Alex Rodriguez
This one is really a no-brainer. The 3x American League MVP had an outstanding career with the Mariners, Rangers, and Yankees -- however, most of his on-field accomplishments were overshadowed by his doping-admission and the ensuing scandal, and overall resentment from MLB fans & players alike.
12 Needs - Alex Morgan
Aside from being co-captain of the 2019 U.S Women's team that took home the World Cup (that was fun to watch, right?), Alex Morgan has a pretty impressive resume that rivals even her on-field accomplishments. A best-selling author, Cal-Berkley grad, and a notable activist-for-equality, Alex's track-record is nothing short of outstanding (FYI, she's only 30...).
11 Doesn't Want - Conor McGregor
One of the most infamous names in UFC history, Conor McGregor would be a surefire pick as a guest on the heavily, mixed martial arts-themed podcast. But McGregor has let it be known in the past that he is not too fond of Joe Rogan's UFC commentary and opinions. McGregor has accused Rogan of being biased against him, and Rogan has even labelled Conor's interim featherweight title as an "illegitimate belt" on his podcast.
10 Needs - Dan Carcillo
When your nickname is 'Car Bomb', you are bound to have a few tales to tell. After winning 2 Stanley Cups, Dan Carcillo has traded his brutal and punishing play in the corners in exchange for a lifetime advocacy towards post-concussion research in sports (and the many mental illnesses and substance abuse issues related to head-trauma), after drawing on his own experiences.
9 Doesn't Want - Johnny Manziel
Johnny Football had a ring to it that signalled athletic greatness and celebrity status all in one name... that was until the Browns, the NFL, and pretty much anyone who had access to ESPN started seeing signs of Johnny Manziel's all-or-nothing party mindset. Following a shaky tenure in Cleveland, where he was disciplined for allegedly skipping a morning-briefing before the Brown's last season game (he was in Vegas, partying), Manziel jumped to the CFL where he had a lacklustre career north-of-the-border.
8 Needs - Chris Chelios
26 seasons in the NHL, 3 Stanley Cups, and a prominent member of LA's infamous Malibu Mob (don't worry, it's just a nickname), Chris Chelios has lived the life of a pseudo-rockstar on skates. From paddle-boarding with Kid Rock, A-list events with Rande Gerber, and Stanley Cup beach parties with Wayne Gretzky, Chelios' charisma surely draws a crowd wherever he goes.
7 Doesn't Want - Floyd Mayweather
Although Pretty Boy Floyd has never lost a fight (he's a perfect 50-0 inside the ropes), you might want to rethink when (if ever) Mayweather will appear on Rogan's podcast. Rogan has showed much praise for the boxing legend in the past, however, when it comes to Floyd's apparent desire to try his jab at UFC, the podcast host strongly disagrees. Rogan went as far as saying on his show that if Mayweather were to square up with McGregor in the Octagon, Conor would "get a hold of him, and he's going to be like a baby!"
6 Needs - Rob Gronkowski
If Saturdays are for-the-boys, then the weekends belongs to Gronk. The 3x-Superbowl champ, who spent 8-seasons as Tom Brady's favourite go-to (that's not named Gisele) -- Rob Gronkowski has kept most of his fame and fortune (and probably a few stories ) while he's been in the spotlight. From partnering on CBD products, to racking up $102k bar tabs with the boys, the future Hall-of-Famer certainly has a few tales worth sharing.
5 Doesn't Want - OJ Simpson
A Heisman Trophy, Superbowl's, The Dream Team... prison -- OJ Simpson has seen it all. Which is why the massive media attention around his court trials and felony crimes have made his name more synonymous with gloves, white Ford Bronco's, and police-chases, than juice... But as seen in the past, many people have tried to break OJ and squeeze the last bit of pulp out that he may be withholding from his (acquitted) 1994 murder charges.
Joe Rogan does have a way with getting people to open up...
4 Needs - Sean Avery
One of the most controversial NHLer's of his time, Sean Avery is never one to back down from a little media attention. Wether he's ranting against Islanders fans, disrespecting player's who've dated his ex, or getting a league-wide rule named after him, Sean Avery fits all the criteria for one helluva Joe Rogan podcast.

3 Doesn't Want - Serena Williams
The former #1-ranked Women's Tennis Assoc. mega-star (for 319-weeks mind you), one would think Serena Williams would be an interesting candidate for the Joe Rogan Experience. However, Rogan has previously made some controversial comments about the tennis legend, linking Serena to Lance Armstrong in the context of possible PEDs use.
2 Needs - The Rock
NCAA athlete, WWE legend, box-office topping actor - sounds like the start of a bad joke. Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson however, is no joke. With a diverse set of skills, along with a natural ability to communicate in a genuine way with audiences and fans, the only thing holding this guy back from appearing on the JRExperience is making sure he can fit through the door-frame. After all, who wouldn't want to hear this guy talk about his feud with Vin Diesel?
1 Needs - Tiger
Unless you've grown up under a rock, this man needs no introduction. Arguably one of the most dominant athletes of all-time, Tiger Woods on the Joe Rog' Experience might as well just be the Tiger Woods Experience... for 3 straight-hours. Wether he's hitting a 6-iron out of a sand bunker (seriously, how did he do it?), or making Nike-ad worthy chips at the Master's, Tiger has never failed to amaze.
Call him up, Joe!
